This project includes the construction of a shared path as part of the broader Ballarat Connections trail. The project provides a shared path link alongside Whitelaw Avenue between Doug Dean Reserve and Sutton Street. Links back into the adjacent footpath network and south into Doug Dean Reserve are is also included.

The combined length of the proposed path connections is just over 1000m and includes five shared user raised pedestrian crossings.
