Die Sanierung des Märkischen Museums erfolgt als notwendige Maßnahme aufgrund des baulichen Zustandes im Zusammenwirken mit dem benachbarten Marinehaus. Beide Liegenschaften unterliegen der zukünftigen Nutzung durch die Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin. Die Liegenschaft erhält eine komplette Neuinstallation aller elektrischen Anlagen.
