Details

Kempsey Shire Council is seeking submission from appropriately qualified and experienced suppliers for the delivery of Toose Road, Phase 1 Bridge (Design and Construction).

Council has occasion of undertaking a project to design and construct a new bridge over the Macleay River and realignment of Toose Road to connect Armidale Road at Bellbrook, NSW. Toose Road is an unsealed local road in the Kempsey Shire that services several rural properties, approximately 60 km west of Kempsey. A landslip during the March 2022 flood event caused significant damage to Toose Road cutting off access to private properties. Geotechnical assessment of the landslip had identified that the site is still active with remediation opportunity.
