Tenders are invited to tender for the Bruce Highway (Proserpine-Bowen), Tenmile Creek to Greta Creek Road pavement strengthening from Ch 22.60 Km – Ch 30.89 Km

Key features of the project include:

Tenderers shall note that there are two alternative Schedules of Rates for this Tender:

• Schedule A – Full Width Road Pavement Strengthening using Deep Lift Asphalt (EME2).

• Schedule B – Full Width Road Pavement Strengthening using Foamed Bitumen Base (FBB).

Tenderers may submit a tender for either Schedule A or Schedule B, or for both Schedules.

Tender Schedule A and Tender Schedule B will be evaluated independently. The Principal will assess each Schedule separately as part of the Tender Evaluation process. Following completion of the evaluation, only one Schedule will be selected and awarded under the Contract.

Schedule A

• Deep lift asphalt (EME2) pavement strengthening to achieve a 20-year design life.

• Excavation of the existing pavement and seal layer to a depth of 250 mm .

• Preparation of the existing surface, including use of the improved pavement layer as subbase before placement of the base layer.

• Placement of a 175 mm EME2 base layer.

• Application of an S25E waterproofing seal with 10 mm aggregate.

• Placement of 60 mm SMA14 asphalt surfacing.

• Linemarking.

Schedule B

• Foamed Bitumen Base pavement strengthening to achieve a 20-year design life.

• Insitu Stabilization by using Foamed Bitumen.

• Preparation of the existing surface, including use of the improved pavement layer as subbase before placement of the base layer.

• Preparation of 325mm Foamed Bitumen Base Layer by insitu stabilization.

• Application of DD, C170 (7mm/10mm) and HSS2 S15E (7mm/14mm).

• Linemarking

Tenderers are advised that the following prequalification levels apply to the Contract:

• Major: Asphalt A4 (Schedule A) or Road R4 (Schedule B)

• Financial Level: F100

Tenderers are advised that the Queensland Code Compliance, Procurement Policy Compliance, Queensland Government Supplier Code of Conduct and Procurement Assurance Model apply to this tender.
