I. Background

The Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Government of the Republic of Korea established the Korea –AfCFTA Cooperation Fund (KACF) to support the implementation of the AfCFTA and strengthen economic cooperation between Africa and the Republic of Korea. The Fund supports initiatives in areas includ ing trade facilitation, customs modernization, digital transformation, entrepreneurship development, institutional strengthening, human capital development, and knowledge exchange. The current KACF portfolio comprises projects implemented by the AfCFTA Sec retariat and Korean partner institutions. Effective implementation of the Fund requires close coordination among the AfCFTA Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Korean implementing agencies, project beneficiaries, and other stakeholders. To support the effective management, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of activities under the Fund, the AfCFTA Secretariat seeks to engage an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in overseeing the implementat ion of the KACF portfolio and ensuring the achievement of project objectives.

II. Objective of this Assignment

The objective of this assignment is to support the overall management and delivery of the KACF by overseeing project implementation, coordinating partner institutions, monitoring performance, managing reporting requirements, and supporting strategic engagement with stakeholders to ensure the successful achievement of programme objectives.

III. Scope of Work and Responsibilities

Under the overall supervision of the KACF Project Manager and designated Secretariat officials, the Assistant Project Manager shall:
