Duration of Assignment: Initial period of six (6) months, extendable up to one (1) year,

subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

I. Background

The Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Government of the Republic of Korea established the Korea –AfCFTA Cooperation Fund (KACF) to support the implementation of the AfCFTA and strengthen economic cooperation between Africa and the Republic of Korea. One of the flagship initiatives under the Fund is the AfCFTA Origin Management Portal Project, implemented in partnership with the Korea Trade Network (KTNET). The project aims to strengthen the administration and management of AfCFTA Rules of Origin through the development of digital solutions that facilitate origin determination, origin compliance, data management, and trade facilitation. To support the effective implementation of the project, the Secretariat see ks to engage an Expert who will serve as the Secretariat's technical focal point and local counterpart for KTNET. The Expert will be based within the Directorate of Trade in Goods and Competition at the Secretariat in Accra, Ghana, and will provide technic al, operational, and stakeholder

coordination support to facilitate the successful implementation, rollout, and administration of the AfCFTA Origin Management Portal Project.

II. Objective of this Assignment

The objective of this assignment is to provide tec hnical expertise and operational support for the implementation of the AfCFTA Origin Management Portal Project, including stakeholder coordination, data collection and management, business process support, system testing, capacity building, and operationalization of the Portal.

III. Scope of Work and Responsibilities

Under the overall supervision of the Focal Point for the AfCFTA Origin Management Portal,
