Details

RFx ID: 33671621 Organisation: Christchurch City Council Open date: Wednesday, 16 September 2026 1:30 PM +12:00 Close date: Tuesday, 13 October 2026 12:00 PM +13:00 Categories: 39100000 - Lamps and lightbulbs and lamp components 39110000 - Lighting Fixtures and Accessories 39120000 - Electrical equipment and components and supplies 39130000 - Electrical wire management devices and accessories and supplies Region: Canterbury Overview: The purpose of this RFP is to invite Prospective Suppliers to submit their Proposals to design, supply and install sports field lighting at Te Nukutai o Tapoa Naval Point Lyttelton Recreation Ground. Council maintains and operates a rugby pitch at Te Nukutai o Tapoa Naval Point in Lyttelton, which is adjacent to a football pitch, a netball court and a multi-use court. New sports field lighting is needed for the rugby pitch as the current lighting is insufficient. The new floodlights will better meet user needs and will allow for evening rugby games and training. 6 poles, of 18m in height, are to be installed. A resource consent has been obtained for the new lights. The proposed solution must meet the requirements of the District Plan and the Principal’s Requirements. Although the primary purpose of the project is to light the rugby pitch, luminaires will be installed on both sides of the light poles to light the neighbouring fields/courts. The scope of the contract includes the removal of the existing infrastructure. Council has geotechnical information for the site, which has been supplied with the tender package (refer to Part B Scope and Specification). Refer to the attached Environmental Management Plan for details of the environmental risks associated with the project.
