Op bedrijventerrein Lage Weide onderzoekt Gemeente Utrecht of realisatie van windturbines mogelijk is. Zo willen we bijdragen aan het opwekken van schone energie in Utrecht. Voordat we keuzes maken, kijken we eerst wat er mogelijk is en wat dit betekent voor de omgeving.

De gemeente wil lokaal eigendom vroeg in het planproces vormgeven. Een eerste stap daarin is het selecteren van een lokale energiecoöperatie. De rol van de geselecteerde lokale energiecoöperatie is het in beeld brengen van de ‘lusten’ van windenergie op Lage Weide voor de directe leefomgeving en daarover in gesprek te gaan met de omgeving.
