RFx ID: 34899397 Organisation: Department of Internal Affairs Open date: Wednesday, 9 September 2026 1:00 PM +12:00 Close date: Wednesday, 7 October 2026 5:00 PM +13:00 Categories: 81160000 - Information Technology Service Delivery Region: New Zealand Overview: The Digital Safety & Investigation group within the Department of Internal Affairs (the Department) keeps New Zealanders safe from online harms, around unsolicited contact and protecting New Zealanders from objectionable material and exploitation. These activities contribute to the Department’s strategic outcome “Iwi, hapū and communities across New Zealand are safe, resilient and thriving”. We now invite participants to provide a response for a replacement of our existing Digital Child Exploitation Filtering System (DCEFS) platform which is reaching its end of life. The intended solution will support the Department in preventing access to illegal and harmful online content, protecting vulnerable users, and maintaining public trust in New Zealand’s digital environment.

Before you bid on this tender

A quick checklist to help you decide whether to bid and prepare a compliant submission for this it & telecom opportunity. Always verify the details on the official source.

  • Confirm the exact closing date and time (and time zone) on the official portal — deadlines are strict and can be revised by a corrigendum.
  • Read the full notice and every attached document, including the scope, specifications and any bill of quantities or terms of reference.
  • Check the eligibility criteria — prior similar experience, annual turnover, certifications and registrations — and make sure you qualify before investing effort.
  • Prepare any earnest-money deposit (EMD) or bid security and the required formats early; missing or wrongly-formatted documents are a common cause of rejection.
  • Note how bids must be submitted (online or physical), in what format, and whether a digital signature or portal registration is required.
  • Watch for corrigenda and clarifications right up to the deadline — requirements and dates can change.
