TENDER NOTICE

1. Background

Bahraich district is among the arsenic-affected areas in Uttar Pradesh where groundwater contamination poses a serious public health risk. A total of 1423 Households of Rampurva Gram Panchayat (1055 HH) & Nahkatiya (368 HH) in Tejwapur block are primarily dependent on handpumps for their drinking water needs. Preliminary testing and baseline assessments indicate arsenic levels exceeding the permissible limit of 0.01 mg/ltr as per BIS standards. (Arsenic content found in GP Rampurwa: 0.013 mg/l and GP Nahkatiya: 0.015 mg/l) To ensure safe and sustainable drinking water for the rural community, the installation of an Arsenic Removal Plant (ARP) Unit has been proposed under the WASH initiative, in collaboration with the PRI, VWSC and the community.

2. Objective

To provide access to safe and arsenic-free drinking water to the community of gram panchayats Rampurva & Nahkatiya benefiting HHs as per the detail provided below. • To reduce the incidence of arsenic-related health issues such as skin lesions, cancer, and other chronic diseases.
• To promote community awareness and ownership in the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the ARP unit.

3. Proposed Intervention

• Installation of arsenic removal unit having 2000 LPH purification capacity unit in GP Rampurva.
• Installation of arsenic removal unit having 2000 LPH purification capacity unit in GP Nahkatiya.

• The Proposal must be on the company letter head with date, signature and company seal. (It is to be signed by the authorized person).

• The Proposal to be submitted as two separate attachment – 1. Technical proposal as per the BOQ and Financial proposal in non-editable PDF Format.
• The proposal must have the subject mentioning the village name given in the table below of point 12.
• THE PROPOSAL MUST BE SUBMITTED AS A SEPARATE ATTACHMENT FOR EACH VILLAGE (four attachments). Kindly refer the BOQ given.
• Proposals received after due date will not be considered.
• Financial proposals must be submitted inclusive of applicable taxes and mentioning the validity of the quoted rate.
• All terms and conditions must be clearly mentioned in the proposals.
• Incomplete proposals shall not be considered
• The work shall be completed on or before 30 October 2026
• Payment shall be released based on the actual work completed and verified.
