Details
RFx ID: 34788287 Organisation: New Zealand Police Open date: Wednesday, 26 August 2026 10:30 AM +12:00 Close date: Monday, 7 September 2026 3:00 PM +12:00 Categories: 43000000 - Information Technology Broadcasting and Telecommunications Region: New Zealand Overview: New Zealand Police is pleased to invite registrations of interest for the supply of Datacentre co-location and related services. This contract will have an initial term of five years, with options to extend for a further four years. Police is a highly digitally enabled organisation with our front line operating through mobile delivered applications. This digital frontline capability needs a highly reliable and resilient infrastructure back-end to deliver the needed 24x7 service outcomes. It is Police’s preference to transact via the GDDA Marketplace. If the selected supplier is not a Marketplace supplier, the supplier is encouraged to apply to be listed on the Marketplace (www.marketplace.govt.nz / GETS | Department of Internal Affairs - NZ Government Marketplace - Standing Open Invitation to Apply). Police will work with GDDA and provide reasonable assistance to the supplier in support of its application, if requested. If, after this Contract has been executed, the supplier’s offering becomes available through Marketplace, the parties will cooperate to transition the applicable Services to the Marketplace. Scope of Services The successful provider will be expected to deliver: • Continuous availability: no single facility, power, cooling, or connectivity failure interrupts Police mission critical emergency services platforms. • A facility pair supports low latency synchronous replication and stretch clustering for protected resilient active/active workloads. • National resilience: services continue to operate through regional natural hazard events, consistent with the role of Police and emergency services as critical, post-disaster infrastructure. • Security and sovereignty: facilities, personnel and processes meet New Zealand Government protective security expectations, and all mission critical services are delivered from New Zealand. • Operational independence: high-quality, responsive technical services allow Police to operate its estate remotely with confidence. • Proven low latency connectivity to cloud services.
