Details

MidCoast Council manages approximately 3,630 km of roads and is seeking an end-to-end solution for vehicle-mounted imagery, AI-assisted road-defect inspection, human review, structured data exchange and ongoing service support. The solution will be used across Council’s road network and may be expanded to other transport assets and post-disaster inspection activities.

The base deployment comprises seven cameras permanently installed on JR Richards & Sons waste and recycling trucks and one relocatable camera system capable of deployment to Council Utes, maintenance vehicles, ATVs, bicycles or other suitable transport. The Tenderer must verify fleet, vehicle, electrical and operating assumptions during mobilisation.

  • Supply reliable, repeatable and auditable road-condition and defect data that includes and is not limited to geolocations and measurements of defects of Council’s assets identifiable in images.
  • A camera deployment that remains secure, tamperproof, powered and correctly aligned throughout normal waste-truck operations, with minimal driver or Council intervention.
  • A practical data pathway into AssetAI, Reflect and Technology One, with clear ownership of interfaces, data quality and support responsibilities.
  • Integration with TechnologyOne that ensures Council staff review and approve identified defects before actioning.
  • A solution that can retain and export historic inspection evidence to support asset management, customer response, post-disaster assessment and Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements evidence where required.
  • Provide a secure, scalable and maintainable service with transparent whole-of-life costs.
