The purpose of this Request for Quotation is to engage qualified lighting designers/consultants to undertake the necessary site investigations, prepare a complete lighting design and technical specification for the Emerald Saleyards Delivery Yards.

Background information / Compatibility requirements

The design is to consider the existing site conditions and lighting infrastructure to provide appropriate lighting solutions for the operational requirements of the area. The completed design and associated documentation will be used by Council as the basis for a subsequent procurement process for the supply, installation and commissioning of the lighting infrastructure.

Desired Outcomes ('Nice to haves', Conditions & Warranties, SLA's, Project benefits): Council is seeking to improve lighting within the Delivery Yards to provide a safer and more effective working environment during low-light and night-time operations. Improved lighting is intended to increase visibility for workers, assist with the identification of yards and livestock, whilst supporting safe and low-stress livestock handling practices.

Please be advised that the closing date for RFQ260203 – Emerald Saleyards Delivery Yard Lighting has been extended to 12:00 pm on Friday, 16 October 2026.

As a result of this extension, the proposed commencement and completion dates for the project will be revised accordingly. Updated project timeframes will be advised in due course.
