Formålet med rammeavtalen er at den skal dekke Vegårshei kommunes behov for løpende vedlikehold og drift av kommunens eiendomsmasse innen rørleggerarbeid.
Arbeidene vil omfatte en rekke oppdrag av varierende størrelse og omfang, herunder større rehabiliteringer, utskifting av gammelt utstyr og installasjoner, reparasjon og vedlikeholdsoppdrag på eksisterende utstyr og installasjoner, samt arbeid på nye bygg. Øvrige tjenester som naturlig hører inn under fagområdet VVS, vil kunne tilkomme dersom det i avtaleperioden oppstår behov for det.
I tilknytningen til arbeidene vil det inngå materialer som trengs til de ulike operasjoner. Selv om anskaffelsen omfatter noe materiell, understrekes det at denne avtalen ikke gir noen eksklusivitet på levering av slikt materiell, og at oppdragsgiver ellers ikke er forpliktet til å kjøpe materiell av tjenesteleverandøren.
