Området Grøttingen i Åfjord kommune har i dag privat vannverk og vannforsyning. Det private vannverket skal fases ut og abonnentene skal få ny vannforsyning levert fra Åfjord hovedvannverk.Det skal legges ny vannforsyning fra Ratvika til Grøttingen. Ledningen er  ca 3,4km lang hvorav ca. 1 850m er sjøledning og resten er fordelt på tre steder på land.Det skal kun legges ny tilførselsledning, ikke nye stikkledninger. Eksisterende distribusjonsledninger på Grøttingen skal beholdes.
