Stord Vatn og Avløp AS (Stord VA) ønsker å oppgradere eksisterende VA-anlegg i Klingenbergvegen og etablere nytt anlegg som er dimensjonert for framtidige mengder, samt er bygget i tråd med gjeldende krav og regler i VA-normen. Prosjektet blir gjennomført som en videreføring av nytt kommunalt VA-anlegg og kommunal pumpestasjon som stod ferdig nederst i Klingenbergvegen i 2025, og som skal videreføres opp langs Klingenbergvegen fram til fylkesveg 5050 Rommetveitvegen i nord.Prosjektet blir delvis utført for å få rettet opp i feilkoblinger langs vegen hvor overvann har vært feilkoblet inn på kommunal spillvannsledning. Dette har ført til unødvendige vannmengder til ny pumpestasjon og tidvis overløp til sjø.Prosjektet omfatter ca. 390 meter med Ø630 overvannsledning, Ø250 spillvannsledning og Ø180 vannledning i ny kommunal hovedtrase langs Klingenbergvegen. I tillegg inkluderer prosjektet kortere ledningsstrekk for å ivareta stikkledninger og tilkoblinger langs prosjektområdet, samt tilkoblinger til sluker, sandfang, hydranter, o.l.
