Met deze aanbesteding beogen de gemeenten Zaltbommel en Maasdriel één partij te contracteren die voor beide gemeenten vervoersdiensten voor het Leerlingenvervoer en (in beperkte mate) het vervoer in het kader van de Jeugdwet organiseert, regisseert en uitvoert. De gemeenten zijn voornemens een dienstverleningsovereenkomst te sluiten met één opdrachtnemer met betrekking tot het genoemde vervoer voor beide gemeenten Momenteel (oktober 2026) betreft het totale vervoer circa 220 leerlingen met een beschikking voor aangepast vervoer en enkele kinderen die vervoerd worden in het kader van de Jeugdwet (ca. 18). Deze aantallen kunnen voor de aanvang van de looptijd en gedurende de looptijd wijzigen. Zie ook bijlage bij de inschrijvingsleidraad.
