ITT2558 - Eddie De Vere Building - Internal Refurbishments

The Eddie De Vere Building is one of Sunshine Coast Council’s office facilities and currently accommodates approximately 200 SCC staff across the ground floor, mezzanine, Level 1, and Level 2. Level 3 has been deactivated for an extended period due to water infiltration issues.

Stage 1 of this project involves a comprehensive review and repair of the roof membrane and external glazing across the building. These works are close to being completed and are a prerequisite to enabling the safe re-occupation of Level 3.

The intention of this project is to reactivate Level 3 and fully utilise the asset, thereby maximising the overall capacity and functionality of the building.

The works will entail demolition of existing partitions, internal doors and windows and floor coverings to levels Mezzanine, First, Second and Third. The removal and retention of or demolition of existing furniture to Levels Mezzanine and One. Installation of new partitions, internal doors and windows, floor coverings to Levels One and Three. Reconfiguration of security, electrical and data, mechanical and smoke detection on levels Mezzanine, First Second and Third. A new kitchen and PWD toilet to level Three and the re alignment of the ceiling grid to Level One and Three. Co-ordination of services and the placement of principal supplied items (Loose Furniture) will be required.

These works as documented include Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical and Hydraulic works.

Note: The Principal wishes work to commence on site prior to the 2026 Christmas Break

Council is seeking to award this lump sum Contract to a single Contractor required to provide all materials, plant and labour, to perform all necessary operations to ensure the complete and proper completion of the works associated with this Contract.

A site information session will be held in accordance with the details provided in Schedule 2 below.
