Scope of Work

SaskPower plans to construct a new administrative addition and renovate the existing administrative (admin) area at the Island Falls Hydroelectric station located on the Churchill River in northern Saskatchewan. The plant currently utilizes the administrative area housed within the facility for office space, men’s and women’s locker rooms and washrooms, as well as eating and meeting areas. This RFP is for the design of the new facility addition, as well as the renovation to the existing administration building. The existing administrative area is to be renovated to house office space for site personnel, meeting rooms, washroom facilities, and a large conference area for general all employee discussions. The new facility addition is to house the lunchroom, an all-inclusive gender-neutral locker room and washroom area, a health and wellness area for operations as well as a first aid room. The Engineer shall develop design drawings and technical specifications for the new administrative building addition and renovation to the existing administrative (admin) area within the Island Falls Hydroelectric Station.

Project Location:

The Island Falls Hydroelectric Station is located approximately fifteen (15) kilometres from the village of Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan and seventy-one (71) kilometres north of Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan.
