Housekeeping contract for Our Town Hall

Future Housekeeping Services for Manchester Town Hall Manchester City Council is undertaking preparatory work for the future procurement of housekeeping services to support the operation of the refurbished Manchester Town Hall. As the Town Hall reopens and transitions back into operational use following refurbishment works, the Council intends to put in place a shorter-term housekeeping arrangement to ensure continuity of service and support initial building occupation requirements. In parallel, the Council is developing its longer-term service requirements and procurement strategy for a comprehensive housekeeping services contract. The future procurement is expected to consider the full range of housekeeping and associated cleaning support requirements necessary to maintain the Town Hall as a flagship civic building, delivering high standards of cleanliness, presentation, visitor experience and operational support. This pipeline notice is being published to provide advance market visibility of the Council's future intentions and to support supplier awareness and engagement. The scope, procurement route, estimated value and anticipated timetable for the substantive procurement remain under development and may be subject to change. Interested suppliers should note that publication of this notice does not constitute a call for competition, invitation to tender or commitment by the Council to commence a procurement process. Further information will be published in due course should the Council decide to proceed with a formal procurement exercise The future procurement is expected to include cleaning and housekeeping activities that reflect the operational, heritage and conservation requirements associated with one of the UK's most significant historic civic buildings. Estimated contract dates are subject to change at the Council's discretion but it is currently anticipated that the contract length will be 8 years (4+2+2).
