Repairs & Maintenance contract for Our Town Hall

Future Repairs and Maintenance Services for Manchester Town Hall Manchester City Council is undertaking preparatory work for the future procurement of repairs and maintenance services to support the ongoing operation of the refurbished Manchester Town Hall. As the Town Hall returns to full operational use following the completion of refurbishment works, the Council intends to establish a short-term service arrangement to provide essential repairs and maintenance support during the initial occupancy period and whilst longer-term service requirements are reviewed and developed. In parallel, the Council is developing its future asset management, maintenance and building support requirements with a view to undertaking a comprehensive procurement exercise for a longer-term contract. The future procurement is expected to encompass planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, minor capital works and associated technical building maintenance services required to support the safe, efficient and effective operation of Manchester Town Hall as a major civic and heritage asset. This pipeline notice is being published to provide advance visibility of the Council's future procurement intentions and to support supplier awareness of a potential forthcoming opportunity. The scope, procurement strategy, contract structure, estimated value and anticipated timetable remain under development and may be subject to change. Publication of this notice does not constitute a call for competition, invitation to tender or commitment by the Council to commence a procurement process or award a contract. Further information will be published in due course should the Council decide to proceed with a formal procurement exercise. The future procurement is expected to include maintenance activities that reflect the operational, heritage and conservation requirements associated with one of the UK's most significant historic civic buildings. Estimated contract dates are subject to change at the Council's discretion but it is currently anticipated that the contract length will be 8 years (4+2+2).
