The solution will improve and automate budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, reducing reliance on spreadsheet-based processes and improving the quality, consistency and auditability of financial information. The tool will initially support approximately 30 Finance Users and provide capabilities including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, driver-based planning, workforce planning and reporting. Police are seeking to purchase an off-the-shelf software package, which will either be hosted in a Police cloud environment or virtualised on-premises option, which can be managed by Finance and deployed to a limited user group of approximately 30 Finance staff. This is an interim solution designed to integrate with both current and future Police financial systems using asynchronous, loosely coupled, and event-driven integration patterns. Implementation is required by May 2027.
