Overview of position CTG is looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer Expert experienced in Implementing Medium voltage. Role objectives Under the direct supervision of the Unit Chief, the incumbent is responsible for electrical repairs, installations and overhauls, specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, devices and accessories, using hand tools and power tools. - To monitor and ensure the proper functioning of FRIM for all sites. - Supporting the design, purchase and installation of the first PV systems as an easily replicable model. - Supervisor of the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems, SMA systems, remote monitoring systems, etc. - Establish and implement quality control of PV products and installation of receiving projects in accordance with codes, standards and technical guidelines provided by the project, including inspections and tests required at the commissioning stage. - Prepare technical assessment and maintenance reports for PV systems. - Supervise the solar installer team during projects to ensure compliance with safety standards. - Test, commission and evaluate the performance or functionality of the system at the system, subsystem and component level. - Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of the oxygen production plant. - Diagnose faulty systems, devices and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to find the cause of a failure and correct the problem. - Connect the wires of circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. - Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify risks, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with standards. - Advise the supervisor in case continued use of the equipment could lead to dangerous consequences. - Test electrical systems and circuit continuity in electrical wiring, equipment and devices, using control devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes, to ensure system compatibility and safety. - Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and accessories, according to job specifications and local regulations and codes. - Supervise and train workers on the installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical cables, equipment, and electrical appliances. - In-depth knowledge of the operation of PSA (Automatic Power Supply) panels. Installation method and material identification for such panels. Troubleshooting procedure for these panels. panels. - Prepare electrical network sketches and drawings for new camps in VISIO (advanced user). - The equipment includes a variety of tools and equipment such as electrical construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools and testing equipment, including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps. - Install the ground cables and connect the power cables for the equipment, such as the motors. - Perform business management tasks such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipments. - Place the conduits (pipes or ducts) inside the designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete the circuits between the boxes. - Construct and manufacture parts, using hand tools and specifications. - Attach small metal or plastic boxes to the walls to house switches or electrical outlets. - Performing physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay pipes and moving and lifting heavy objects. - Produce preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services. - Provide emergency assistance by operating spotlights and generators, placing flares, and driving necessary vehicles. - Working on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs to install, maintain and repair electrical cables, equipment and appliances. Project reporting This role reports to the Unit Chief / line Manager. Key competencies - Professionalism: Proven professional competence and in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering practices. Well-developed technical skills, knowledge of the methods and practices of PSA (Automatic Power Supply) installation and repair panels. Advanced user of VISIO software for drawing electrical network diagrams. - Team spirit: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve the Organization's objectives; solicit input, value the ideas and skills of each individual; be willing to learn from others; put the team's interests before personal gain; accept and abide by the group's final decisions, even if they do not perfectly align with one's own position; share in the team's successes and take responsibility for its failures. - Customer focus: Consider all those to whom services are provided as "clients" and seek to see things from their point of view; establish and maintain productive partnerships with clients by gaining their trust and respect; identify client needs and match them with appropriate solutions; monitor the evolution of clients' situations, both internally and externally, in order to stay informed and anticipate problems; keep clients informed of progress or setbacks related to projects; respect deadlines for the delivery of goods or services to clients.
