Met het aanbieden van de Dode Hoek-lessen streven we drie doelen na. Het eerste doel is dat leerlingen de gevaren van de dode hoek kennen, dat ze deze kunnen benoemen en actief weten te handelen nabij een voertuig met een dode hoek om hun levenskansen te verhogen (of ongevallen te voorkomen). Als tweede kunnen de leerlingen ook aan anderen duidelijk maken waarom het veiliger is om buiten de dode hoek te blijven. En als laatst weten de leerlingen dat de dode hoek niet alleen een gevaar vormt bij vrachtwagens, maar bij alle grote voertuigen.
