Details

MidCoast Council (the Principal) is seeking submissions from appropriately qualified and experienced Tenderers for the Design and Construction of the Diamond Beach Park Sports Lighting Project.

The works generally comprise the detailed design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a new LED sports field lighting system, including lighting poles, foundations, underground electrical infrastructure, associated structural and electrical works, and all other works necessary to deliver a complete and operational sports lighting system.

The completed works are to achieve the specified sports lighting performance requirements and comply with the Contract Documents, relevant Australian Standards, statutory requirements and MidCoast Council requirements.

The project will provide improved lighting infrastructure at Diamond Beach Park to support evening football training and competition use by junior and senior teams, fully activate the site for extended sporting use and increase sporting capacity within the Hallidays Point locality.

Background information / Compatibility requirements

Council intends to install a new LED sports lighting system at Diamond Beach Park designed to achieve a minimum maintained average horizontal illuminance of 100 lux across the nominated playing area, suitable for football training and competition use. The lighting system is to provide appropriate illumination, uniformity and glare control while minimising obtrusive light spill to surrounding properties and the wider community.

Desired Outcomes ('Nice to haves', Conditions & Warranties, SLA's, Project benefits): Respondents are required to be duly licensed to carry out the proposed work, hold all relevant insurances, and comply with all applicable legislation and statutory requirements.

Be able to complete the works by Mid-March 2027

Before you bid on this tender

A quick checklist to help you decide whether to bid and prepare a compliant submission for this sports, recreation & events opportunity. Always verify the details on the official source.

  • Confirm the exact closing date and time (and time zone) on the official portal — deadlines are strict and can be revised by a corrigendum.
  • Read the full notice and every attached document, including the scope, specifications and any bill of quantities or terms of reference.
  • Check the eligibility criteria — prior similar experience, annual turnover, certifications and registrations — and make sure you qualify before investing effort.
  • Prepare any earnest-money deposit (EMD) or bid security and the required formats early; missing or wrongly-formatted documents are a common cause of rejection.
