Aftalerne vedrører henholdsvis el- og smedearbejde på Forsvarets sejlende enheder, samt sejlende enheder drevet af Forsvaret. Den omfatter løbende modifikation og reparation ombord på skibene. Denne type arbejde skal foregå hurtigt og effektivt, så skibenes beredskab påvirkes mindst muligt. Som følge heraf har forsvaret brug for assistance af eksterne firmaer til mekanisk og hhv. el-teknisk og smedearbejde, som skal kunne igangsættes med kort varsel, når behovet opstår. En del af arbejdet vil foregå i samarbejde med andre typer håndværkere, eksempelvis malere, isolatører, stilladsarbejdere og kranførere. Rammeaftalen er opdelt i fire delaftaler. El-arbejde Øst El-arbejde Vest Smede-arbejde Øst Smede-arbejde Vest For Øst delaftalerne vil arbejdet fortrinsvist ske med udgangspunkt på Flådestation Korsør. Arbejdet kan dog også ske andre steder i Danmark, eller i udlandet. For Vest-delaftalerne vil arbejdet fortrinsvist ske med udgangspunkt på Flådestation Korsør.
