Details

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan is inviting applications for the FY2026 Public-Private Joint Mission to promote trade and investment between Japan and Africa. This initiative will take place in Zimbabwe and Rwanda from 9 January to 16 January 2027. Interested companies and organizations should apply by 9 November 2026. The FY2026 Public-Private Joint Mission aims to enhance economic relations between Japan and Africa by creating business opportunities for Japanese companies. This mission includes interactions with senior government officials, business forums, visits to local companies, and networking events with local stakeholders in Zimbabwe and Rwanda. Participants will benefit from direct engagement with key decision-makers in Zimbabwe and Rwanda, access to business forums, and networking opportunities that may lead to potential business ventures and collaborations. Eligible applicants include companies and organizations interested in exploring trade and investment opportunities in Africa. Participation is open to a wide range of entities looking to strengthen economic ties with the African region. This mission provides a unique platform for Japanese businesses to expand their presence in Africa, fostering stronger economic ties and opening new avenues for trade and investment. It aligns with Japan’s broader strategy to increase its economic footprint in Africa, as initially outlined during TICAD IV.
