Trondheim bydrift ved avdeling vann- og avløp har et kvalitetssikringssystem for prøvetaking av avløpsvann og mengdemåling; tidligere akkreditert etter ISO 17025:2005, men som nå har et tilsvarende kvalitetssikringssystem for prøvetaking. Dette krever godkjenning av en kvalifisert nøytral instans (ref. forurensningsforskriften).Formålet med denne anskaffelsen er å inngå en avtale med én leverandør som kan gjennomføre en formell, uavhengig vurdering og godkjenning av teknisk kompetanse for prøvetaking av avløpsvann og mengdemåling iht. ISO 17025.
