Assignment Title: Strengthening Crop Commercialization for an AgTech in Senegal

- Senegal ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION The objective of this assignment is to support IFC’s partner AgTech, Tolbi, in developing a scalable and commercially viable crop commercialization model, initially focused on maize and millet. Building on Tolbi’s existing physical and digital infrastructure for supporting smallholder farmers, productivity enhancement, and production aggregation, the assignment will strengthen the company’s ability to connect aggregated crop volumes with reliable and commercially attractive buyers and markets. The expert will support Tolbi in strengthening the key components of its commercialization model, including: - Buyer identification, acquisition, and commercial partnerships; - Crop sourcing, aggregation, and supply planning; - Contracting and pricing frameworks; - Logistics and delivery coordination; - Commercial operating processes and governance; and - Commercial risk management. The assignment will result in a scalable commercialization model that enables Tolbi to secure reliable market access for its farmer network, improve the commercial performance of aggregated crop volumes, and scale its value-chain orchestration activities. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS The World Bank Group invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Where a group of firms associate to submit an EOI, they must indicate which is the lead firm. If shortlisted, the firm identified in the EOI as the lead firm will be invited to the request for proposal (RFP) phase. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding. Only those firms which have been shortlisted will be invited to participate in the RFP phase. No notification or debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.
