1. The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Directorate General of Infrastructure Investments has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Eastern Tü rkiye Middle Corridor Railway Development Project (ETMIC) and intends to apply

part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Design and Infrastructure

& Superstructure Works for Eastern Tü rkiye Middle Corridor Railway Development Project (ETMIC) Lot 1, Lot 2 and Lot 3. The Project will be financed jointly by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (the “Co-Financier”, and together with the World Bank, the “Financier”). The procurement process will be conducted in accordance with the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, which shall apply to and prevail over the procurement requirements of all co-financier. The Project will finance Preparation of detailed engineering designs for all construction and installation works within the scope of the Project, which are expected to be conducted under a design-build (DB) implementation approach, aiming at improving infrastructure quality outcomes and accelerating physical progress by integrating these interdependent functions under the same provider. Design and Infrastructure & Superstructure (Superstructure, Signaling, Telecommunication and Electrification) Works, which are anticipated to be completed in 4 years construction period for Rehabilitation of Lot 1 - Rehabilitation of infrastructure and superstructure and Electrification of the line from Divriği to Erzincan (156 km), Lot 2- Rehabilitation of infrastructure and superstructure and Electrification of the line from Erzincan to Erzurum (223 km), Lot 3 - Rehabilitation of infrastructure and superstructure of the line from Erzurum to Kars (208 km) and Electrification of the line from Erzurum to Georgia Border (288 km). …
