The requirement covers Medium Fixed-Wing Turboprop aircraft with 30 to 50 passenger seats for operations worldwide, including locations with limited infrastructure, demanding weather, and short- notice operational requirements. The arrangement is expected to be for one year, with one optional one-year extension, at the sole discretion of the United Nations. No aircraft is required to be dedicated exclusively to the United Nations.

1. Service availability

Operators must demonstrate sufficient aircraft, qualified personnel, maintenance support, and operational resources to respond to task notifications normally issued at least 72 hours in advance. In urgent cases, the United Nations may request service within 24 hours. Estimated utilization is up to 1,000 flight hours during the initial year and up to 2,000 hours if the optional year is exercised; these estimates do not constitute a minimum commitment.

2. Aircraft capability

Proposed aircraft must be multi-engine turboprops using Jet A-1 fuel, certified airworthy by the State of Registry, and capable of carrying 30 to 50 passengers in approved passenger and cargo configurations. Aircraft must be suitable for worldwide operations, including high-and-hot conditions, IFR and IMC operations, field self-start, and, where applicable, night and RVSM operations. Capability for unpaved runways and dangerous-goods transport is desirable.
