Professional Services for Environmental Emergency Management and Contaminated Site Rehabilitation for the KRG Childcare Section The KRG Childcare Section is a vital stakeholder in the delivery of childcare services in Nunavik. Its primary role is to support 14 childcare centres located in every community. More specifically, the KRG Childcare Section regularly provides technical assistance to the parent boards of directors and childcare centre staff in a variety of areas, including financial management, building management, insurance, educational activities, nutrition, health, hygiene, board governance, legislation and regulations, personnel management, and policy development. Over the past 10 years, while overseeing 19 facility buildings, the KRG Childcare Section has experienced multiple fuel oil spills that have contaminated the sites of some of these facilities. Consequently, KRG is seeking proposals from qualified environmental experts to ensure a rapid and effective response in the event of diesel spills, primarily from fuel tanks or barrels. The objective is to minimize environmental and human health impacts by implementing corrective measures in compliance with current Quebec regulations. KRG intends to establish a contract for a duration of three (3) years to ensure the rapid mobilization of expertise and equipment required for effective emergency response and remediation measures. This contract is established on an on-call professional services basis. KRG does not guarantee any minimum volume of work or any minimum number of interventions during the term of the contract.
