SRD Center is seeking qualified Packaging and Marketing Practitioner / Trainer to join a short-term consultancy assignment supporting agricultural micro and small enterprises, rural entrepreneurs, community-based organizations, and local communities in Jordan. The assignment aims to strengthen beneficiaries' capacities to establish, manage, expand and sustain viable agricultural and agri-business enterprises through practical business development support, training, coaching and follow-up. The Packaging and Marketing Practitioner/Trainer will provide practical training and technical assistance to agricultural micro and small enterprises and community-based organizations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and deliver practical training on product packaging and marketing. - Assess existing products, packaging practices, branding and market positioning. - Train beneficiaries on packaging fundamentals and appropriate packaging options. - Support beneficiaries to develop or improve branding and visual identity. - Advise on sustainable, practical and cost-effective packaging solutions. - Conduct practical sessions on market research and customer analysis. - Support beneficiaries in developing appropriate marketing strategies. - Provide practical guidance on digital marketing and use of social media for small businesses. - Develop or support the development of product labels, branding concepts, packaging designs, mock-ups and print-ready files. - Provide one-to-one technical support to selected enterprises and CBOs. - Coordinate with business development and mentoring experts to ensure that marketing and packaging interventions are aligned with beneficiaries' business plans. - Contribute to training needs assessments, pre/post assessments and documentation of training outcomes. - Participate in field visits and follow-up activities. - Document progress, challenges, lessons learned and recommendations. - Contribute to technical and final reports. The ToR places particular emphasis on demonstrated previous branding and packaging outputs, including designs, labels, mock-ups and print-ready materials. Qualifications - University degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Graphic/Packaging Design, Agribusiness, Economics, Entrepreneurship or another relevant field. - Demonstrated professional experience in product marketing, branding and packaging support. - Experience providing practical support to micro and small enterprises, start-ups, entrepreneurs or community-based organizations. - Demonstrated experience developing branding and packaging materials such as: - product labels; - packaging concepts; - visual identity materials; - product mock-ups; and/or - print-ready designs. - Experience in agricultural products, food products, rural enterprises or agri-business is highly desirable. - Experience delivering participatory and practical training. - Knowledge of market research, customer segmentation and marketing strategy. - Experience with digital marketing and social-media promotion is desirable. - Strong facilitation and communication skills. - Ability to provide practical, hands-on advice appropriate to micro and small enterprises. - Ability and willingness to travel to Balqa, Ajloun and Jerash. - Fluency in Arabic is required for beneficiary-facing activities. - Good English reporting skills are an advantage.
