Forsvarsmateriell (FMA) gjennomfører en frivillig kunngjøring av en begrenset konkurranse, og vil med dette invitere norske leverandører til å sende inn kvalifikasjonssøknad i forbindelse med bygging av standardiserte fartøy til Sjøforsvaret og allierte nasjoner.Denne anskaffelsen er omfattet av unntaksreglene i EØS avtalen artikkel 123 bokstav b). Unntaket er begrunnet i behov for nasjonal kompetanse, beredskap og forsyningssikkerhet. Anskaffelsesregelverket gjelder derfor ikke for denne anskaffelsen, jf. LOA § 2 (3).
