The Southern African Biomanufacturing Training Hub (SA-BTH), hosted by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in partnership with UVU BIO, is offering a free Laboratory Management course. This course aims to enhance skills in the biomanufacturing sector and is part of the Strengthening Biomanufacturing Capabilities in Southern Africa (BIOcapSA) programme, supported by KfW Development Bank. The course will commence on 18 January 2027, and applications are open until 6 December 2026. This Laboratory Management course is designed to support the growth of the biomanufacturing sector in Africa by providing cutting-edge training. It targets the creation of a skilled workforce capable of advancing local manufacturing of biologics, vaccines, recombinant proteins, and therapeutics. Participants will receive free training that includes industry-relevant theoretical knowledge, interactive online learning, and skills development, aimed at enabling local biomanufacturing capabilities.
