GVB beheert en exploiteert 7 veerdiensten van Amsterdam Noord over het IJ naar Amsterdam Centraal en 3 over het Noordzeekanaal (NZK). Hiervoor heeft GVB op dit moment 19 veren in de vaart, verdeeld over de lijnen voor:

  • het Noordzeekanaal (NZK) 5 stuks,
  • over het IJ (7 maal type 50 en 7 maal type 60)

De opdracht omvat het casco onderhoud, conserveren, voorkomende reparatiewerkzaamheden en uitvoeren van modificaties aan alle GVB Veren en wordt gefinancierd vanuit de exploitatiebegroting van GVB Veren B.V. De Opdracht is verdeeld in een perceel IJ-veren en een perceel NZK-veren. Per perceel worden tot 3 raamcontracten gegund.
