Details

UNDP is seeking a 01 National Firm to carry out baseline surveys on domestic solid waste and develop roadmap to reduce single-use plastic waste in Quang Ninh province for the Scaling Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (SMSP) for Circular and Sustainable Waste Management (Phase III project), as described in this documentation. Women-owned companies are encouraged to bid. Preference will be given to equally technically qualified women. The overall objective of the assignment is to establish a comprehensive baseline on municipal solid waste (MSW) and single-use plastic (SUP) management in Quang Ninh province, to support development of evidence-based provincial planning on solid waste management and single-use plastic reduction. The baseline information is not limited to municipal solid waste generation, segregation, collection, recycling and treatment systems, and single-use plastic waste generation and consumption patterns.

Besides, this assignment also provides composition of DSW in the 3 selected wards, Uong Bi, Yen Tu and Hiep Hoa, by a study on waste analysis and characterization (WACS), which will serve as baseline to develop the plan for waste sorting at source at the localities.
