RECRUITMENT OF A NATIONAL FIRM FOR THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT OF A DIGITAL PLATFORM (TOOL) FOR FARMER REGISTRATION (PIGGERY, POULTRY AND BEEKEEPING) AND LIVESTOCK TRACEABILITY FOR FARMER COOPERATIVES IN RWANDA

Period: 4 Months (Starting in September 2026)

1. Assignment Objective

The overall objective of this assignment is to design, develop, test, deploy, and support a secure, scalable, user-friendly, and interoperable digital platform for farmer registration, cooperative management, production monitoring, and farmers traceability in Rwanda.

2. Scope of Work

The Consulting Firm shall design, develop, test, deploy, and support an integrated web-based and mobile-based digital platform that serves the operational, management, traceability, and reporting needs of farmer associations, cooperatives, and individual producers within the piggery, poultry, and apiculture sectors in Rwanda.

The platform shall facilitate real-time data collection, management, analysis, and reporting for strengthening organizational management, production monitoring, traceability, service delivery, and evidence-based decision-making across target farmers cooperatives. The platform shall be a mobile-responsive and web-responsive application with a dedicated mobile application for Android, designed to function reliably in areas with limited or intermittent connectivity.
