Leadership Consortium publications come in various forms, principally Workshop Summaries, Discussion Papers, and Commentaries. Workshop Summaries are formal, peer-reviewed summary manuscripts published by the National Academies. Discussion Papers are expert-authored papers that address key issues in value and science-driven health care. Commentaries are short op-ed style pieces that provide leading experts the opportunity to offer their observations and opinions on innovations and challenges in health and health care. This acquisition is not being conducted as a competitive acquisition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with National Academy of Sciences as the only source reasonably available to satisfy the Government's requirement.
