Details

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, invites qualified consulting firms to express interest in providing market and financial viability advisory services for a proposed Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae processing facility in Pakistan. The proposed facility would convert organic waste streams into insect protein, lipid oil, and frass fertilizer. The assignment will independently assess commercial feasibility, feedstock economics, demand, pricing, regulatory pathways, supply-chain arrangements, and financial viability. The study will consider a phased development plan comprising an approximately 100 tonnes-per-day pilot and scale-up to a maximum design capacity of 300 tonnes per day. A potential 1,000 tonnes-per-day expansion will be examined only as a later decision-gate scenario.

Procurement number: 0002024175. Expressions of interest are submitted through the World Bank Group's eProcure (RFx Now) portal, which requires vendor registration.
