BIR AS på vegne av BIR Ressurs avd. Mjelstad (omtalt som BIR) skal i forbindelse med utvidelse av deponiet anskaffe et nytt renseanlegg for sigevann som oppstår som følge av nedbør på deponiet. BIR skal selv sikre at areal og bygg etableres der renseanlegget skal bygges. Leverandør av renseanlegget må selv stå for komplett leveranse av renseanlegg med alt tilhørende utstyr som er nødvendig for drift, samt montering, idriftsettelse og opplæring. Dette er videre beskrevet senere i konkurransegrunnlaget. Det er viktig for BIR å få tilstrekkelig informasjon om renseanlegget for å tilrettelegge for riktig dimensjonert bygg. BIR skal selv anskaffe pumpene som skal levere sigevann inn til renseanlegget og fra pumpesump etter renseanlegget til resipient. Det er viktig at BIR mottar informasjon om grensesnittet, og legger dimensjonene på renseanlegget til grunn for pumpekapasitet.
