Formålet med anskaffelsen er å dekke behovet for cateringtjenester av måltider knyttet til representasjon i RRA. En korrekt ramme rundt arrangementer består av mange deler, hvorav rettene som blir servert er en svært viktig del. Det er derfor viktig med høy kvalitet, såkalt «fine dining».

RRA har kjøkkensjef som håndterer daglig drift og arrangementer i mindre skala. Ved større arrangementer med over 20 personer til stede, ferieavvikling og i travle perioder er det derfor behov for å supplere for å kunne ha arrangementer med matservering. Noen arrangementer vet man om lang tid i forveien, noen kommer på veldig kort varsel.
