Το φυσικό αντικείμενο του έργου αφορά τον σχεδιασμό, ανάπτυξη και λειτουργία νέου Ολοκληρωμένου Πληροφοριακού Συστήματος (ΟΠΣ) για την υλοποίηση και παρακολούθηση χρηματοδοτήσεων και έργων στον Τομέα Μετανάστευσης και Εσωτερικών Υποθέσεων. Το ΟΠΣ στοχεύει στον προγραμματισμό, σχεδιασμό, υλοποίηση, διαχείριση και παρακολούθηση και επικαιροποίηση όλων των διαδικασιών που αφορούν τα έργα, τις πράξεις και τις χρηματοδοτήσεις στον Τομέα Μετανάστευσης και Εσωτερικών Υποθέσεων, παρέχοντας διαλειτουργικότητα με άλλα συστήματα και διασφαλίζοντας τη συμμόρφωση με τις απαιτήσεις της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.
