Chaque contrôle comprend une visite technique visuelle du site, à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur, portant sur l'état des espaces extérieurs, le type et l'état de la sécurisation, la structure extérieure et intérieure, les compteurs et les signes d'insalubrité ; la qualification des désordres constatés et de leur niveau de criticité ; la rédaction d'un rapport de visite photographique et commenté, assorti de préconisations de travaux ; ainsi que les interventions de petite remise en sécurité réalisables sur place sans moyens spécifiques.
