HUS Kiinteistöt Oy kilpailuttaa HUS-yhtymän toiminta-alueella sijaitsevien sairaaloiden ja muiden toimipisteiden vaarallisten ja terveydenhuollon erityisjätteiden jätehuoltopalvelun hankinnan. HUS-yhtymän sairaalat ja muut toimipisteet sijaitsevat pääasiassa Helsingin, Espoon, Vantaan, Hyvinkään, Lohjan, Porvoon ja Raaseporin kaupunkien alueella, mutta toimintaa on myös muilla paikkakunnilla pienessä mittakaavassa. Sopimuksen piiriin kuuluu myös Kiinteistö Oy Laakson sairaala, jonka arvioidut ostomäärät ovat vähäisiä. Vaarallisten ja terveydenhuollon erityisjätteiden jätehuoltopalvelun hankinta sisältää jätteiden noudon, kuljettamisen ja käsittelyn kokonaispalveluna. Kilpailutuksessa valitaan yksi (1) sopimustoimittaja. Sopimus on voimassa kolme (3) vuotta, jonka jälkeen sopimus jatkuu toistaiseksi voimassa olevana. Sopimuskaudella ostettavien palveluiden määrä voi vaihdella. Tilaaja voi tarkentaa tilattavia palveluita ja noutopisteitä tarpeensa mukaisesti. Noutopisteiden lukumäärä, astioiden koko tai tyhjennysväli saattavat muuttua sopimuskauden aikana ja tämä ei saa vaikuttaa hintoihin. Tilaaja ei sitoudu tiettyihin hankintamääriin sopimuskaudella, vaan tekee tilaukset tarpeensa mukaisesti. Liitteissä on lueteltu tällä hetkellä tiedossa olevat noutopisteet ja arvioidut jätemäärät. Suuren kiinteistömassan takia kohteisiin ei järjestetä kiinteistökierroksia.
