Raaseporin Energia Oy kilpailuttaa samalla hankintailmoituksella sähköenergian sekä häviösähkön hankinnan. Kilpailutuksen tuloksena valitaan yksi toimittaja, jonka kanssa tehdään yksi sähkönmyyntisopimus. Sopimus kattaa sekä sähköenergian että häviösähkön hankinnan, ja tarjottavat marginaalit koskevat koko hankintakokonaisuutta. Sähköenergia ja häviösähkö muodostavat yhdessä yhden hankittavan sähköenergiasalkun. Asiakkaan tavoitteena on ylläpitää keskimäärin noin 50 prosentin suojausastetta tehopohjaisilla hinnankiinnityksillä, minkä vuoksi marginaalien vertailussa käytetään sekä kaupankäynti- että varttispot-marginaalille samaa painotusta. Sähköenergia laskutetaan kuukausittain. Sähkön hinta muodostuu sähkönmyyjän marginaaleista, varttispot-toimituksesta sekä hintariskin hallitsemiseksi tehtyjen tehopohjaisten hinnankiinnitysten selvityksestä. Lisäksi läpilaskutetaan Fingridin tasepalvelun tuotannon ja kulutuksen volyymimaksut sekä Datahubin käyttöpaikkakohtaiset maksut toimitusajankohtana voimassa olevien hinnastojen mukaisesti. Hankinnan kohteena on tarjouspyynnön ja sen liitteiden mukainen sähköenergian ja häviösähkön kokonaistoimitus yhdeltä toimittajalta.
