The Department is seeking responses from suitably qualified and experienced vending machine operators capable of supplying, installing, servicing and maintaining vending machines across metropolitan and regional Queensland locations while providing modern vending technology, healthy food and beverage options, responsive service delivery and competitive commercial returns.

Responses must be submitted by no later than 11am, Thursday 29 October 2026 - Australian Eastern Standard Time (Queensland time).

All clarifications or questions related to the EOI must be communicated in writing by 2pm, Thursday 22 October 2026.

Background information / Compatibility requirements

The Department currently operates a range of facilities across metropolitan and regional locations and is seeking to better understand the market's capability to provide innovative, reliable and revenue-generating vending machine solutions. This includes opportunities to improve service consistency across venues, enhance customer experience, increase revenue returns and support healthy food and beverage choices.

The EOI seeks information regarding suppliers' capabilities, service models, technology offerings, commercial arrangements and experience in servicing sporting, recreation and community facilities.

The Department currently has a range of vending arrangements across its venues with varying commercial outcomes, operational models and contract terms.

Through this EOI, the Department seeks to identify opportunities to:

  • Improve consistency of vending services across the venue network.
  • Increase commercial returns.
  • Improve reporting and operational visibility.
  • Ensure modern equipment and service standards are available across all locations.
  • Establish a market benchmark for future decision-making.

Desired Outcomes ('Nice to haves', Conditions & Warranties, SLA's, Project benefits): Respondents may submit an offer for all venues, or for one or more of the venue groupings specified in this EOI.

The South East Queensland venues are to be included as a group in any offer, while Townsville Sports Precinct and Toowoomba Sports Ground may each be included in an offer separately.
