Expression of Interest - Sport Venues Digital Signage Opportunities

The Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games (DSROPG), through Sport Venues, is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organisations with experience in the design, delivery, operation and commercialisation of external digital signage.

Responses must be submitted on 14 October 2026 at 12:00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (Queensland time).

All clarifications or questions related to the EOI must be communicated in writing by 2pm, 30 September 2026.

Background information / Compatibility requirements

Sport Venues are investigating opportunities to establish external digital signage to support commercial revenue generation, enhance venue presentation and improve communication with visitors and the broader community. While the opportunity has been identified through internal strategic planning, Sport Venues have not determined a preferred solution, delivery model or commercial approach.

The purpose of this EOI is to engage with the market to better understand the opportunities available and to seek industry expertise on how an external digital signage solution could best be delivered.

Sport Venues are intentionally seeking an open response from industry and encourages respondents to provide recommendations based on their professional experience, market knowledge and understanding of similar projects. Respondents are not expected to respond to a predetermined specification but rather propose the approach they believe would deliver the greatest long-term value to Sport Venues.

Information obtained through this EOI will be used to:

• understand market capability and interest;

• identify potential external digital signage opportunities across the Sport Venues portfolio;

• better understand viable commercial, operational and investment models;

• validate and refine current business case assumptions;

• identify opportunities, risks and implementation considerations; and

• inform if Sport Venues should progress to a future procurement process.

This EOI is an information gathering exercise only. It does not constitute a commitment by the department to proceed with any procurement process or enter into any contractual arrangement.
