A.Background

The United Nations World Food Programme hereinafter referred to as the “WFP”, with its Headquarters located in Via C.G. Viola, 68/70, 00148 Rome, Italy is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience by assisting almost 100 million people in around 83 countries each year. About 17,000 people work for the organization, most of them in remote areas, directly serving the hungry poor.

The WFP MSDT (HQ Engineering) seeks to satisfy the following procurement needs: Steel Warehousing Solutions for Humanitarian storage operations globally .

To strengthen WFP’s logistics backbone and ensure rapid deployment of safe, durable, and cost‑efficient storage structures

WFP invites eligible suppliers to express their interest in providing the requested Goods .

B.The purpose of this EOI

The purpose of this EOI is to gain a more detailed understanding of the supply market and existing solutions both to identify suppliers with experience in a particular area and to gain knowledge about Steel Warehousing solutions including their specific steel design capabilities.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), through its HQ Engineering Unit (MSDT), is seeking information from suppliers capable of providing steel warehousing solutions for humanitarian storage operations globally. WFP manages over 600 warehouses worldwide , including emergency response hubs, country office storage facilities, and field‑level operational sites. To strengthen WFP’s logistics backbone and ensure rapid deployment of safe, durable, and cost‑efficient storage structures, MSDT intends to identify suppliers with proven experience in designing, manufacturing, and delivering steel warehouses , including prefabricated, modular, and rapid‑deployment structures. This EOI aims to map the market, understand available solutions, and identify qualified suppliers for a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) leading to Long‑Term Agreements (LTAs) .

After the deadline for submission of responses has passed, WFP will evaluate responses received and will notify eligible participants of the outcome of the evaluation.
