Consultancy Services - Preparation of a Building Maintenance Manual and Training of the Residents from the Kalinago Territory

Overview REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica (GoCD) received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) towards the cost of the Kalinago Development Project and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds to eligible payments under this contract. Payment by CDB will be made only at the request of the GoCD and upon approval by CDB, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement. The Grant Agreement prohibits a withdrawal from the Grant Account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. No party other than GoCD shall derive any rights from the Loan Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Loan. The Ministry of Environment, Rural Modernisation, Kalinago Upliftment and Constituency Empowerment is the Executing Agency of this Project and now wishes to procure consultancy services for the Preparation of a Building Maintenance Manual and training of the residents from the Kalinago Territory. The consultancy has two primary objectives: - To prepare a Building Maintenance Training Manual by adapting the Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF) Building Maintenance Manual. - To provide training for residents of the Kalinago Territory on Building Maintenance and Maintenance Planning. The training aims to equip participants with practical knowledge in Building Maintenance and the development of maintenance plans. Further details can be found in the attached Terms of Reference. The duration of the assignment is expected to be 40 non-consecutive days within 2 months. The Ministry of Environment, Rural Modernisation now invites interested eligible individual consultants to submit Expressions of Interest indicating qualifications and experience required to provide these consultancy services.
